Professor Connie So and several of her students were recently selected to receive a Special Recognition Award in the Best Labor Studies Paper/Project competition held by the Harry Bridges Center for Labor Studies for their class project, Gum Saan to Golden Spike. Andrew Hedden, Associate Director at the Harry Bridges Center for Labor Studies, stated their committee was "impressed by the creativity of the project and wanted to make sure it received recognition. We will honor the class project on our website and formally announce the Special Recognition Award at our Labor Studies Awards Banquet on Sunday, November 10."
